[ True to his word, a pair of large black dogs with red eyes show up. Walls and doors don't seem to be an obstacle, and the dogs are incorporeal; in the right light, one can see through them, ever so slightly.

They intently lead Nate to a campsite in the woods. So long as he follows, they won't really menace him all too much. They seem to take their cues from their quarry. ]
